In comparison to stainless steel grades, the IS 4923 YST 355 is relatively less expensive and deliver a good performance.

If a particular application demands corrosion resistance properties, manufacturers can elevate its resistance by surface treating the IS 4923 YST 210 with different substrates or chemicals. The usual shape of IS 4923 YST 210 / 240 / 310 Pipes is either rectangle or square. The hardness coupled with the good minimum yield strength is the main reason why buyers prefer their use in construction. The is 4923 steel pipes constructed under this standard have different minimum yield strengths of 210, 240, 310 as well as 355. Seamless hollow sections are neither prone to failure at the weld seam, nor are they susceptible to intergranular corrosion, thus making them an effective solution and cost-effective component across several applications.
