20MnV6 is a carbon-manganese steel grade is produced under specification EN 10294. This carbon-manganese steel grade has been micro alloyed with vanadium. The addition of vanadium to 20MNV6 Hollow Bar distinguished by properties such as exceptional machinability and weldability. Moreover, these components have a high yield and tensile strengths due to the microalloying impact of the vanadium along with the thicker cross sectioned construction of the walls.
The low carbon content and the vanadium addition in bs 6258 grade 600 Hollow hex bar permits for a surface hardening process with the bars being subjected to either a carburizing or a nitriding process. The heat treatment process wherein the alloy of a 1.0644 E470 20MnV6 High Tensile Low Alloy Steel Hollow Bar absorbs a certain amount of carbon in the presence of carbon sustaining substrates- for e.g. charcoal or carbon monoxide is referred to as carburising. On the other hand, a heat treatment, which creates a case-hardened surface on the EN 10294-1 20MnV6 Hollow Bar with a diffusion of nitrogen is referred to as nitriding. A major benefit of using an e470 en 10294 carbon hollow bar as compared to a regular bar is that they cost and weigh lower, due to the low consumption, without any negative impact on its tensile or yield strength. In comparison to regular pipes and tubes, the walls of E470 20MnV6 Carbon Steel Hollow Bar are much thicker and can be measured by both the inner and outer diameter
