LTCS A333 Gr 6 welded pipe manufacturer and supplier

Specification ASTM A333 covers carbon steel pipes meant for application in low temperatures. LTCS or Low Temperature Carbon Steel is a type of alloy that is enveloped under this particular specification. The ASTM specified A333 Carbon Steel Low temperature tube has moderate tensile properties with good hardness, but low corrosion resistance properties. The alloy’s resistance to corrosion can be improved by the use of certain surface treatments. Most commonly, buyers prefer coating the surface of ASTM A333 Low Temperature Steel Pipe with treatments such as Galvanizing, Varnishing, CRA or stainless cladding, 3PE/3LPE, FBE, and lining.

ASTM A333 Grade 6 Pipe

While the tensile properties of this alloy are moderate, according to this specification the LTCS ASTM A333 Gr 6 Pipe is put through the following tests - hydrostatic tests, and nondestructive electric tests in addition to tensile tests & impact tests. Apart from producing A333 Grade 6 Seamless Pipe, the welded pipe must not be welded by the use of any filler metal. In order to control their microstructure, the ASTM A333 Grade 6 Pipe is to be treated. The fine grain structure is what makes the dispersion of carbides uniform in the A333 Gr 6 welded pipe. Industries that use low temperature transmissions include Oil & Gas, Construction, Mechanical engineering, Alternative Energy, Subsea Drilling as well as the Petrochemical industry. However, the most exclusive user of Low Temperature Carbon Steel SA333 Grade 6 Pipe is the oil and gas industry. These pipes perform well even down to a temperature of — 50°F, where the A333 Low Temp Pipe is exposed to the presence of refrigerants

We stock and supply A333 Carbon Steel Low temperature tubein many sizes and specifications
