EN 10253-1 S235 elbow manufacturer in India


Wrought grade carbon steel butt welded fittings produced under standard  EN 10253-1 are to be supplied without any need for any set of specific inspection. The different types of EN 10253-1 Fittings constructed under this standard include - elbows and return bends, dished ends, equal and reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, as well as caps. Although the EN 10253-1 Buttweld Pipe Fittings described in European Standard 10253-1 do not fulfil specific design prerequisites, they subsequently are not considered to conform to the crucial prerequisites of the Pressure Equipment Directive.

One of the main reasons why the EN 10253-1 / 3D welded & seamless elbow is used across several industries, is because this fitting provides ease in changing the direction of the flow of media. In addition to being cheaper than alloy or stainless steel, the En 10253-2 Type A/ Type B Pipe Elbow has good hardness, which could be increased by processing this fitting by carburization or nitriding. The deposition of nitrogen or carbon on the alloy not only gives the fitting an improved hardness, but it also stabilizes the en 10253-1 dimensions making it a durable one. The radius of the curve in EN 10253-1 Type 3D Elbows is produced equivalent to about three times the diameter of the pipe. The conventional angles for en 10253-1 elbow include 45, 90 or even 22.5 degrees unless specified by the buyer
